Please use these categories as a guide. The food on offer will change depending on funding and availability
Every Friday night, a fleet of volunteers go to nearby
supermarkets and are given any food that the shops
don't want on their shelves anymore. Perfectly good
food.
We check it all, freeze what needs to be frozen, and
put it out on the tables in the Baptist Church Hall.
On Saturday morning we deal with the last batch of
collections, and then open our doors to anyone who
would like to help us eat all this lovely food.
The food available is different every week, but all of it
is close to end of date - and needs to go on Saturday.
In short, we are a community project tackling food
waste in a way that benefits as many people as
possible. Everyone is welcome to join us, to get
some free food and also as a volunteer.
